Industrial Metal

Industrial Metal is a collaboration of the industrial and metal ideas. Sound of this genre has distinct notes of the experiment in the musical presentation. This genre uses grave " thrashy " guitar riffs process in the industrial way with help of electronics. Base of the sound of Industrial Metal consist out of mechanical and other industrial chords, created with help of the sound generating software. Vocal performance of the genre can vary from clear voice to the distorted or brutal roar.

Song lyrics of the Industrial Metal usually include darkness, anger, hopelessness, or even an obsession with horror and death. Musicians in this genre pay more attention to the visual side of the composition. They make scandalous clips, and create contradictory shows. Musical genre of the Industrial Metal was formed by the end of the 80s from original Industrial genre by SPK, Einstuerzende Neubauten, Merzbow. In the beginning Industrial was an underground movement, and had little or no presence, but in the begining of the 90s situation changed. By that time bands like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails were formed and filled the genre with metal sounds, thus taking the Industrial Metal genre in to the mainstream as well as on the alternative radio stations.
